At Spare 10 For Ben, we believe in supporting the whole person - mind, body, and soul. That's why we offer free holistic therapies delivered by our experienced and compassionate practitioners, Angie and Claire.
Both Angie and Claire are qualified Reiki Practitioners, fully insured, and trained in auricular ear seeding therapy - a gentle yet powerful method rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Claire is also a proud member of the UK Reiki Federation and accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine, ensuring the highest standards of professional and ethical care.
Reiki and auricular therapy are known to support both physical and mental wellbeing. Benefits may include reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, pain relief, emotional clarity, and an enhanced sense of calm and balance. Whether someone is experiencing grief, trauma, burnout, or simply needs space to reset, our sessions offer a safe and nurturing environment to rest, release, and reconnect.
Thanks to generous community support and donations, these therapies are offered free of charge - or on a 'pay it forward' basis, where those who are able can contribute to help fund future sessions for others in need. Because everyone deserves healing. No judgement. No pressure. Just care.
So what is Reiki? Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive healing practice that works with the body's natural energy systems to promote balance, relaxation, and emotional and physical wellbeing. Originating in Japan, Reiki translates to 'universal life energy' - a vital force that flows through all living things. When this energy becomes blocked or unbalanced, it can lead to stress, fatigue, or illness.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels energy through their hands, with light touch, helping to clear energy or blockages, restore balance, and encourage the body's own healing processes. Reiki works in alignment with the chakra system - seven main energy centres in the body, each connected to specific emotional and physical functions. By encouraging chakra alignment and energy flow, Reiki supports a sense of calm, clarity, and connection.
And Auricular Ear Seeding Therapy? This is a form of acupressure focused on the reflex points of the ear, which correspond to different areas of the body and mind. Small seeds attached to a discreet plaster are gently placed on these points to stimulate natural healing. This technique can be helpful for stress, anxiety, pain management, sleep issues, support weight loss, and addiction recovery.
Both therapies are safe, holistic, and suitable for all. They offer a space for grounding, self-care, and emotional release - especially beneficial for those dealing with trauma, grief, or mental health struggles.
