We believe no one should have to go through this battle alone, by supporting others we are keeping the memory of our Benny Boy alive.
Here at STFB, we are working on a new initiative, 'Ben Boxes'. These are well-being boxes which will contain a selection of mental health resources, sign-posting to relevant services, self-care items and soothing treats.
Contact us for more information about this and our Ben Chairs Initiative, or to make a much needed donation.
Please call or text us on 0797 6924119 or use the contact us section if you require signposting or a friendly face to face chat.

We lost our beloved Ben suddenly and unexpectedly on the 26th January 2020 to suicide. He was 20 years old.
Ben was loved by so many, his family and a wide circle of close friends. He had so many people in his life whom he could trust and speak to about how he was feeling, and he did. We will never know why Ben felt he had no choice other than to end his life that fateful night, when he had so many people he could rely on to speak to at any hour, day or night.
There is no simple explanation or reason as to why someone takes their own life, however, we firmly believe that by engaging with and supporting individuals struggling with thoughts of suicide and/or self-harm, by listening to their story, we are able to identify ways in which we can provide support. This alone can make a huge difference to their mindset.
We vowed, his family and friends, that Ben's death would not be in vain, and in memory of him, we would support individuals like him, their family and friends.
Ben always said he wanted to be "famous", so with this in mind, we decided to pursue our mission in his name. A lasting legacy to our handsome, funny, stubborn and loyal Benny Boy.
Mental Health issues play a major contributing factor as to why so many of our loved one's believe that this is the only option available to them. It's not.
We would encourage everyone to take 10 minutes out of their busy lives to check in with their loved ones, family and friends.
We believe that this vital interaction can make all of the difference between someone choosing to end their life or not.
.
"A bright light in life, and now brighter in death".
